Sarah Brannen has more than 20 years experience in the government and non-profit sectors successfully managing teams and programs in alignment with organizational environmental, social, and economic values. She has overseen program planning and execution for NYPA's environmental justice department since 2024. Previously, Sarah led strategic planning, programming, and operations for the NoVo and New World Foundations. She also served as an elected City Council member in the Hudson Valley and was a policy advisor to the Speaker of the New York City Council. Sarah holds a BA from Barnard College and an MPP from Johns Hopkins University.
