Gina Jackson
New York Power Authority (NYPA)
Gina Jackson is a Supplier Diversity Program Administrator with the New York Power Authority. For the past ten years, she has been a key member of the team that spearheads the procurement strategy for NYPA, with one overarching focus: to ensure the supplier pipeline is reflective of the communities it serves. This has resulted in a wider pool of candidates and a more competitive supplier base that includes Minority Women-owned Business Enterprises (MWBE) and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses (SDVOB). She is responsible for the administration of NYPA’s Supplier Diversity programs and the Authority’s corporate credit card program. In both roles, Gina ensures her customers are educated to meet the success of both programs.
Gina earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Concordia College and holds a Human Resources Certification from Cornell University. Her professional experience has afforded her a depth of knowledge with procurement processes, human resources, and the intricate workings of the utility industry. She obtained a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion certification from Cornell University and completed the McKinsey Black Leadership Accelerator Program. Gina has been selected as one of the 2024 Top 25 Women in Power Impacting Diversity by DiversityPlus Magazine.
In addition to her roles within NYPA, Gina is an elected official serving her second term as Town Councilwoman in the Town of Greenburgh located in Westchester County, NY, as well as what she considers her most important role - a Mother to her teenage son. She is deeply committed to fostering an environment that prioritizes diversity, equity, and inclusion for both her family and her community. Gina believes that shared knowledge can bridge social divides and that celebrating diverse cultures enhances community impact. This commitment to learning and inclusivity is a driving force behind her contributions to the Supplier Diversity Team at NYPA.
