Eric Pedersen is a seasoned professional with over 15 years of experience in Project Controls and Project/Portfolio Management within the utility and energy industry. 

Currently, Eric serves as the Senior Director of Project Planning at the New York Power Authority (NYPA), where he is responsible for overseeing cost, schedule, reporting, planning, budgeting, and forecasting for NYPA’s diverse portfolios, including Utility Operations, Commercial Operations, and Canals. In his tenure at NYPA, Eric has held various key roles such as Director of Scheduling and Planning, Director of Corporate Strategy, and Director of the Operations Portfolio Management Group. His contributions have been instrumental in leading project controls, establishing company-wide project governance frameworks, and planning capital portfolios, thereby fostering a culture of trust and operational excellence.

Eric holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Rochester Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science from SUNY Geneseo. He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute since 2014.

In his free time, Eric enjoys exploring new technologies related to type 1 diabetes, snowboarding, boating, and spending time with his family. He is passionate about continuous learning and development, both personally and professionally.
