Rosaria Obazee is New York Power Authority’s Senior Program Director for transmission project management. In her role, she leads the Authority’s transmission project management team tasked with the execution of transmission projects across NY State.

Prior to joining the Authority in 2022, Rosaria enjoyed a progressively responsible career in the Canadian Utility Industry, focusing on generation and transmission projects. She served as Director Capital Projects, with Yukon Energy Corporation, (YEC). Preceding YEC, she worked as Section Manager Projects Execution at Ontario Power Generation (OPG), and as Project Manager at ATCO Electric Transmission Division, in Edmonton, Alberta.

She is a Professional Engineer, licensed in the State of Nevada and in several jurisdictions in Canada. She is DBIA Certified and also certified as a Project and Risk Management Professional, with more than 22 years of Project Management experience in various industries. Her educational background includes a Master’s degree in Engineering Management from the University of Alberta, Canada, complimented by a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering from universities in Nigeria.
