Alex Leader is a Sustainability Program Manager at the New York Power Authority specializing in supply chain sustainability, material and waste management, and ESG reporting. Alex is a born and raised Western New Yorker, growing up in Rochester, attending the University at Buffalo to obtain her degree in Environmental Engineering, and then moving back to Rochester to attend the Rochester Institute of Technology and earn her Doctorate in Sustainability. Her research at RIT focused on critical materials for clean energy technologies, including their supply chain vulnerabilities and environmental impacts across their lifecycle. Alex has a passion for improving natural resource efficiency by making changes upstream in the supply chain and downstream in waste management practices. In her free time, you can find her camping, hiking, and exploring new places.
